Confederate Mania

I’ve been trying to figure out why there is such a flap about displaying the Confederate Battle Flag.

Then came a flap about Confederate Statues.  This was really stupid.

Finally a flap started with Confederate Artwork.  Pardon me, but what has this got to do with anything?

I’ve mulled this over and finally came up with a possible answer.  It would appear that Obama and crew want to hide the fact that there was a Civil War.  Why would this be done?

My only conclusion is that Obama and crew do not want people to know that they can rebel against a tyrannical government.  That is one of the reasons that the founding fathers put the Second Amendment in the Constitution.

Climate Change?

Is there global warming?  Nope!!!!

Is there a climate change?  Yes!!!

Is there anything that can be done to stop it?  Nope!!

Well boys and girls, all you have to do is look at what is really happening.

Ice is melting in the arctic ocean.  This is a well established fact.  This has caused unusual weather patterns in the US and other countries.  i.e. a polar vortex and wave after wave of Alberta clippers hitting the US.

Climate changes happen about every 10,000 years.  Sometimes there are mild weather events, or in the worst case, a full blown ice age.

What does your food storage list look like?

If you ask 100 different people which food items you should store for an emergency, you’ll get 100 different answers. There is no one official list – although you will find many of the same items on just about everyone’s list – because it depends at least partly on the types of food you and your family enjoy.

But if you wanted to compile a basic list that just about anyone would benefit from storing, I think you’d find most of the following items on that list. These are some ideas from SurvivalLife.com:

  • Rice
  • Dried beans
  • Canned vegetables (corn, peas, green beans, etc.)
  • Canned fruit (peaches, pears, pineapples, etc.)
  • Canned meat (chicken, tuna, shrimp, etc.)
  • Oats
  • Peanut butter
  • Powdered drinks
  • Powdered milk
  • Salt
  • Pancake mix
  • Honey and jam
  • Pasta
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Soup or broth
  • Oil
  • Spices and condiments
  • Coffee and tea

You can prepare on a shoestring

Yes, even if you are on a fixed income, or living on a budget, you can prepare for some of the disasters that we have experienced this winter.

I’m not talking about apocalyptic scenarios as depicted on TV programs, I’m talking about events like a Polar Vortex, rolling Alberta Clippers, Major Snowstorms, tornado’s, etc.  These events have kept people hunkered down in their homes for days at a time.

Also, I’m not talking about buying thousands of dollars worth of prepper foods.  What I’m talking about is a common sense approach to prepare for a emergency.

Remember when you were a kid and went shopping with your Mother or Grandmother?  If you were observant, you may have noticed they would buy a few extra cans of soup, chili, a bag of sugar or flour.  Perhaps an extra package of toilet paper or paper towels.   They would always tell you that it pays to have a few extra things, especially if they are on sale.

Maybe when you grew up you were told that the local store had this or that on sale and that you should get a few “to have on hand”.

Why did you Mother or Grandmother tell you this?  I don’t know about you, but my parents grew up during the “Great Depression of the 1930’s”  And, their parents knew quite a bit of how to live with very little “store bought items”.  Gardening, canning, baking and making stuff at home was a everyday occurrence for them.

My point is that when you go to your local store, buy a few extra things.  You will find that in no time at all your pantry items will grow very quickly.  Also if you see some things that are on sale, so much the better.  It doesn’t take very long to be prepared for a disaster.

Be sure to check my website, www.frankherda.com for my upcoming guide for preppers.

Thoughts of a Prepper

Seriously – You need to be a prepper or this could happen to you.  I well understand where the guy is coming from.  Sigh, “you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink”.

Re-posted curtsey of joeforamerica.com, and Glen Tate.

I love my friends, but I will shoot you if I have to.  I’m serious.  Here’s why.

I tried to persuade you to prepare for what’s coming and, in the process, revealed that to you that I’m preparing.  You realized that I have food, guns, etc., and ended up saying, half kidding but half serious, “I’ll come to your place when SHTF.”

No you won’t.  I will shoot you.  If you threaten me and my family, I will use force to defend against any threat.  And showing up at my place hungry and unprepared is a threat to me.  You will eat my food and use up my medical supplies, generator, firewood, etc.  That’s less of these life-saving things for me and my family.  That’s a threat.

Is this greed on my part?  No.  I will take care of the truly needy – those who cannot take care of themselves.  But you are different.  Very different.  You had plenty of chances to prepare for yourself.

But what did you do?  You spent the weekends watching football, went on expensive vacations, and never made your spouse mad at you with your “crazy” ideas that something bad was happening.  You didn’t do shit because… you would just come to my place.  Problem solved, right?  You didn’t need to spend time, money, and create domestic strife because I did that all for you.

Not.  Why should I spend my time, money, and stress just so you can waltz into my place and live happily ever after?  I’m a nice guy, but – really? – I’m going to spend my (very limited) free time, disposable income, and domestic tranquility just so you can have a leisurely life and more material comforts pre-Collapse while I don’t?

Why do you think I will sacrifice enormous amounts of my time and money so you can enjoy yourself while I’m slaving away?  Would you assume you could come over and leave your broken car at my house?  That I would just spend thousands of dollars on parts and several weekends fixing it and then hand it over to you with a smile – just because I’m a “good guy”?  Would anyone expect that?

You do, apparently.  You actually expect to waltz over to my cabin and receive – with a smile – thousands of dollars of food and other supplies that took me all my weekends to acquire and store.

ant-and-grasshopperSo, my grasshopper friend (as in the story of the grasshopper and the ant), here is your official warning: if your “plan” for your and your family’s safety is to come to my place, you’re wrong.  When you show up, I’ll ask you to leave.  When you don’t, I’ll point a gun in your face.  If you refuse to leave, I will shoot you.  You are a threat to me.

You had years of time and very clear warnings to get ready.  But you didn’t.  Hey, I love football but haven’t been able to watch a game in a few years; I’ve been fixing up the cabin, buying supplies, and training with the Team.  I spent a lot of money doing all these things so I haven’t gone on a long vacation in… forever.  I have had several difficult times with my wife because of all the prepping I’m doing; I could have easily done what you did, which is just say “Yes, dear” and not prepare because she didn’t want you to.
I hope this message jolted you.  There’s still some time.  Go prep.  Please understand that your plan cannot be “I’ll come to your place.”  I don’t want to shoot you.

The Amazing USB

Development of the Universal Serial Bus [USB] began in 1994 and the standards were approved in January 1996.

Since then the USB has grew to the point that new PC’s no longer have serial ports or parallel ports.

The USB  port now allows connection of most external PC devices such as keyboards, mouse, portable disk drives, flash drives, printers, modems, and more.

Most new desktop PC’s now have at least 6 USB ports or more.  Most new laptop pc’s have at least 4 USB ports.  And, if you need more USB ports, it’s real easy to add a USB HUB with at lease 4 USB ports.

Sigh, what has technology wrought?

Hostile Takeover of the US?

When I first look at the below article I though that this was a bit out in left field.  However when I started to carefully read the details it made more and more sense.   All the money being spent by non-military agencies for weapons, ammunition, drones, armored vehicles has got to be for some reason.

Reprinted and posted courtesy of Godfatherpolitics.com and by

I’ve been told by a number of people that it would be impossible for any person to stage a military or hostile takeover of the United States.  Ten years ago, I would have agreed with them, but not now.

In the past year, President Obama has taken a number of actions that when added together clearly indicates his plans for a military or hostile takeover of the United States.  And for the first time in my life, I not only believe it could happen, but I am firmly convinced it’s going to happen before the 2016.

To begin with, Obama has been tailoring the US military to his personal agenda.  He is filling the ranks with gays and lesbians who will now follow him to any extreme because he is their champion.  He has all but shackled chaplains from preaching Christianity to the troops, who by the way, aren’t even allowed to have Bibles in some areas in the Middle East or any other semblance of Christianity. For the military coup de gras, he has been tailoring his top military leaders by asking if they are willing to shoot Americans.  Those that answer yes, are put in key positions while those that answer no are basically seeing the end of their military careers.

Next, the Department of Homeland Security has been stockpiling millions of weapons and billions of rounds ammunition.  The federal government even has NOAA stockpiling weapons and ammunition and they aren’t going to be using it to predict the weather.  This is unprecedented in American history and has no purpose or basis other than the use against the American people.

The massive push for gun control has only one purpose and that is to disarm the American people.  There are more guns in private ownership than there are people in the US.  That would make a hostile takeover more difficult, costly and time consuming.  However, the stockpiles of weapons and ammunition are just for that purpose, because Obama knows that there are a lot of Americans who will not give up their guns so easily.  Attorney General Eric Holder has already warned gun owners to cower like smokers.

One of the problems with the guns in the hands of people is that the government doesn’t know where they all are.  That’s why they are pushing for complete gun registration and background checks for everyone who owns a firearm, regardless of any grandfather clauses.  Under Obamacare, they are pushing doctors and medical staffers to gather information on their patients as to whether or not they own a gun.

Under the National Defense Authorization Act, the federal government has the legal right to indefinitely detain anyone they deem to be dangerous to the country.  They do not have to produce any evidence, they do not have to obtain a warrant, and they do not have to give you the right to an attorney.  All Obama or Eric Holder have to do is say you are a threat and that could be the last anyone sees of you for who knows how long.

Obama has also issued an executive order that gives him absolute power and control over all means of communication for any reason including an emergency.  The executive order includes all television, radio, cable, internet and cell phone communications.

Lastly, Obama is already placing drones in the skies over America.  His chief puppet, Attorney General Eric Holder has ruled that not only are the drones legal, but that Obama also has the legal right to use them to shoot Americans on American soil.

When you put this all together into one package, it’s obvious that the stage is set for Barack Hussein Obama to use force in a hostile takeover of the United States.  All he has to do is declare a state of emergency (mostly likely prompted by a forced economic collapse).  This will allow him to control all forms of communication.  Both military and DHS trained personnel will then start rounding up everyone that has or still opposes Obama and detain them under the National Defense Authorization Act.  Those that resist will be face lethal force from the drones and/or the heavily armed military and DHS troops.  Anyone resisting will be shot, since he has been given the legal authority to do so.

If Obama fears a threat from another nation, he would not be slashing military spending, cutting our nuclear arsenal down to a third of what it was and he wouldn’t have NOAA stockpiling millions of weapons and ammunition.  Everything Obama has being doing and putting in place is pointed inside the US, not outside.  We are his target, not Iran, Syria, China, North Korea or al-Qaeda.

If you don’t believe this will happen prior to the 2016 election, then please explain to me the purpose of all these things that have been strategically placed at this time.  Also, I suggest you do a little studying of history in nations like Germany, Russia, China and other socialist nations.  They all thought it could never happen to them and it did and it all started with a tyrant just like Obama gaining power and outlawing guns!

Things to ask teachers.

Posted curtsey of ClashDaily.com

The one thing we learn from history is that we do not learn from history.

* If you wanna have fun, high school and college peeps, print this out and query your teachers once they start bashing the USA. Oh, and film them attempting to answer the questions.

In the past, what happens to nations when their governments…

… rob from the rich to buy votes from the poor?

… take legal citizen’s jobs, financial security, medical care and tax dollars and use them to buy votes from illegal immigrants and bribed minorities?

… tax away incentive from the 1% responsible investors to buy votes from the 99% irresponsibly entitled?

… disenfranchise, condemn and discriminate against those with traditional proven values to embrace radical change from politically correct change agents as the norm?

… policies produce more walkers than strollers emptied by government funded birth control and abortions?

… disarm individuals from self-protection to arm a private army (SS, DHS) for enforcement of executive orders?

… vote themselves the treasury, the federal reserve, unrestricted spending and tax exemptions to fund youth indoctrination camps for unscrupulous change agents (like Acorn and now Fair Share) to canvas the country to slander opposition with big lies, propaganda, and mindless allegiance to a slanted totalitarian power base?

… train, practice and prepare for armed assaults on its own cities, farms, business, and non-combative populace?

… terminate law enforcement and military leadership that refuses to fire on their own civilian population?

… excessively fine businesses that do not share their radical views of deviant inclusivism to buy votes from fringe movements?

… spend more effort popularizing their photo ops with infatuated blind media than disaster relief with emergency services?

… buy votes with money from foreign oil (BP), foreign investment (Pakistan), foreign kickbacks and foreign America hating organizations?

… idolize a leader without a background check, while they criminalize the population by requiring background checks?

… export jobs and import foreign dependence?

… bail out bank usury, investor fraud, and wall street exploitation as they support foreclose on families and allow hoarding of the bail-out money by lenders?

… tolerate, legitimize, support and engender hatred for a selected conservative race, dissenting creed, upper class or opposing party?

… are intolerant of … and discriminate against racial majorities to pander to illegal immigrants, racial vengeance, and minority exploitation?

… finance voter fraud and cover ups?

… threaten loss of wages to steam roll uncontrolled spending?

… embrace junk fringe science bankroll public policy?

… weight statistics to support their agenda?

… approve emergency powers acts to constitutionally exercise dictatorial power without legal objection from other branches of government?

… exploit tragedy and violence as a pulpit to advance political objectives and to recruit party members willing to do the same?

… blend political acuity, deceptiveness and cunning to convert a party’s non-majority but plurality status into effective governing power?

… rewrite history to create a mythology surrounding their rise to power, countries greatness and hidden agendas.

… gain power by false promises denied by big lies, glittering generalities and fringe group appeal?

… criminalize free speech, censor the church and replace dependence on God with dependence on government?

Gun Control, the worst thing since the Civil War

Gun control would be the worst thing for the US since the Civil War.

Consider this, if not for a armed US citizenry, we would be all speaking Japanese now.  During World War II, Japan was going to invade the US.  One of their admirals mentioned to the Emperor that “there would be a rifle behind every bland of grass”.   That was sufficient to cancel the invasion.

Remember, a armed people are a free people.  This was why the founding fathers mad it clear by adding the second amendment to the US constitution.  People should not be afraid of the government, the government should be afraid of the people.  If the German people had been armed, there would have been no Hitler.

Why is it that Obama wants the people to be disarmed?  Think about it.
